LEGAL FRAMEWORK. These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and applicable amendments, notifications and consumer-protection guidelines; the Indian Contract Act, 1872; the Information Technology Act, 2000; the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023; applicable provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 as and when such provisions become applicable; and applicable tax/GST laws. No provision is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any mandatory statutory consumer, privacy, child-safeguarding or other legal right or remedy.

1.Scope and acceptance

These Terms and Conditions, Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between HobbyDoor Private Limited ("HobbyDoor", "Company", "we", "us" or "our") and the Parent or lawful Guardian booking a class ("you" or "your").

These Terms apply to bookings made through hobbydoor.com, the HobbyDoor application, WhatsApp booking/support channels and other authorised digital channels.

By submitting a booking request, making payment, accepting a booking electronically or using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and the applicable Privacy and Safeguarding Policies.

Mandatory provisions of applicable Indian law shall prevail over any inconsistent provision of these Terms.

2.Definitions

"Parent/Guardian" means an adult aged 18 years or above who is the parent, lawful guardian or otherwise legally authorised person booking for a child.

"Child/Learner" means the child for whom the class is booked.

"Instructor" means an independent hobby teacher/professional providing the class through the Platform.

"Class" means a hobby session confirmed through the Platform.

"Single Class" means an individually purchased class. "Package" means a prepaid bundle of classes. "Start Time" means the scheduled commencement time shown in the booking confirmation. "Notice Period" means the period between the recorded cancellation request and Start Time.

3.HobbyDoor's service

HobbyDoor operates a technology-enabled marketplace and service-coordination platform connecting Parents/Guardians with independent hobby Instructors for at-home classes.

HobbyDoor facilitates matching, scheduling, payment collection, customer support and, where appropriate, Instructor replacement. The Instructor is responsible for the actual teaching and class content, subject to HobbyDoor's contractual, safety and safeguarding standards.

Instructors are independent professionals and are not employees of HobbyDoor solely by reason of providing services through the Platform. Nothing in these Terms waives any mandatory statutory classification or liability.

HobbyDoor does not guarantee a particular educational result, skill level, examination result or future progress.

4.Eligibility and parent responsibilities

Only an adult aged 18 or above may register and book a class for a child.

You represent that you are the child's parent, lawful guardian or otherwise legally authorised to provide required information and consent.

You shall provide accurate information reasonably required for service delivery, including name, mobile number, address and the Learner's age.

Before the first class, you should inform HobbyDoor/Instructor of material safety information reasonably relevant to the class, including allergies, medical restrictions, accessibility requirements or special needs, to the extent appropriately disclosed.

You are responsible for bookings made through your account or registered mobile number.

5.Bookings and class timings

A booking request is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only when HobbyDoor issues a confirmation identifying the Instructor, date and time.

Classes may be scheduled between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., subject to availability and safety requirements.

The first class for a hobby may be offered at a nominal introductory fee displayed at booking. It is not a free trial.

The class runs for the duration shown at booking. Delay caused by the Learner or home not being ready may reduce the available teaching time.

If an Instructor becomes unavailable, HobbyDoor may offer a substitute of reasonably comparable suitability. The Parent may accept the substitute or choose rescheduling/refund under these Terms. Materials or instruments identified as Parent-provided shall be arranged by the Parent/Guardian.

6.Fees, GST and payment

Fees shall be displayed before payment. Applicable GST and other taxes shall be shown or included as required by law.

Classes shall ordinarily be paid in advance through HobbyDoor or an authorised payment partner. Where payment is processed by an authorised payment provider, HobbyDoor does not ordinarily store complete card or bank credentials.

A tax invoice, receipt or appropriate payment record shall be issued in accordance with applicable law. Do not pay an Instructor directly in cash, UPI or another unauthorised manner. Direct payments may fall outside HobbyDoor's refund, safety and support processes.

HobbyDoor may change prices prospectively. A price change shall not retrospectively alter a class already fully paid for, except where a lawful tax or regulatory adjustment is required.

7.Customer cancellation and rescheduling

Cancellation/rescheduling must be made through the Platform or official HobbyDoor WhatsApp channel. A telephone call alone is not a completed cancellation unless confirmed by HobbyDoor. The timestamp recorded by the Platform or official channel determines the Notice Period.

8.Cancellation and refund schedule

At least 24 hours before Start Time: free cancellation; the customer may choose free rescheduling or a full refund, subject to availability.

Less than 24 hours but at least 8 hours before Start Time: up to 50% of the applicable class fee may be retained as a pre-disclosed cancellation charge; the remaining amount may be refunded or an available rescheduling/credit option may be offered. The charge shall remain subject to applicable law and shall not apply where a refund or other remedy is legally required.

Less than 8 hours before Start Time: ordinarily no refund or free rescheduling for a Parent-initiated cancellation, subject to genuine emergency/illness circumstances, service failure, other stated exceptions and applicable law.

No-show: where the Instructor has attended/arrived as scheduled and remained available for the applicable waiting period, but the child is unavailable or no responsible adult is present, the class may be treated as held and charged in full, subject to applicable exceptions and law.

Cancellation charges shall be clearly displayed before payment and shall not be hidden, misleading or applied where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy, or where non-performance is attributable to HobbyDoor/Instructor service failure.

Nothing in this section limits a non-waivable consumer right.

9.Package terms

A Package shall ordinarily be used within 45 days from purchase, unless a different validity period is expressly displayed at checkout.

If a Package is cancelled part-way through, HobbyDoor may calculate the refund by deducting the value of classes already delivered at the applicable Single-Class rate and refunding the eligible balance, subject to applicable law and the disclosed Package terms.

Unused classes ordinarily lapse on expiry unless HobbyDoor grants an extension or applicable law requires otherwise.

Where a class is validly cancelled within the notice period, HobbyDoor may restore a class credit for rescheduling within the Package validity period where the Package permits.

10.Refund processing

Approved refunds shall ordinarily be processed to the original payment method.

HobbyDoor aims to initiate approved refunds within 5-7 Business Days after approval. The time for credit to appear may depend on the bank, card issuer, UPI/payment provider or other intermediary. If the Instructor cancels, fails to attend or HobbyDoor cannot provide the confirmed service, the Parent may choose the applicable refund or rescheduling remedy.

The nominal introductory first-class fee is non-refundable once the class has been held, except where a refund is required by law or because of service failure.

11.Instructor cancellation or non-arrival

If an Instructor cancels or fails to attend a confirmed class, HobbyDoor shall offer free rescheduling or a full refund for the affected class, subject to applicable law.

If the Instructor is materially late, HobbyDoor may arrange an extension, rescheduling or an appropriate refund/credit depending on circumstances.

HobbyDoor may take contractual/platform action against an Instructor for repeated late cancellations, no-shows, safety violations or other breaches.

Nothing in this section limits statutory consumer remedies.

12.Emergency, illness, weather and events beyond control

Where a class cannot reasonably proceed because of severe weather, government restrictions, curfew, public-health directions, society/building restrictions, serious illness, safety emergencies or another event beyond reasonable control, HobbyDoor may offer free rescheduling or, where rescheduling is not reasonably possible, an appropriate refund/credit.

No cancellation charge shall be applied where applicable law or the circumstances require a refund or alternative remedy.

13.Home safety and child supervision

A Parent, lawful Guardian or another responsible adult authorised by the Parent should ordinarily remain at the premises and be reasonably reachable throughout an at-home class involving a child. Classes should, where practicable, take place in a reasonably open and observable area of the home.

If no responsible adult is present, the instructor may decline the class. The class may be treated as held for cancellation purposes, except where the absence results from an Instructor/HobbyDoor failure or another applicable exception.

An Instructor is not engaged as a babysitter, guardian or general childcare provider.

Parents/Guardians shall provide a reasonably safe and suitable teaching environment and secure pets or foreseeable hazards.

Instructors are not authorised to transport a child or provide unrelated childcare/errand services unless separately authorised under a lawful HobbyDoor arrangement with appropriate safeguards.

14.Family conduct

Parents/Guardians shall treat Instructors with dignity, courtesy and respect.

Harassment, threats, violence, discriminatory abuse, coercion or serious misconduct may result in suspension or account closure, subject to applicable law and a fair review process.

Parents/Guardians shall not ask an Instructor to provide unrelated services such as babysitting, errands or academic tuition outside the confirmed booking.

Additional class time must be booked and paid through HobbyDoor.

Any non-circumvention or non-solicitation obligations shall be governed by the separate applicable agreement and Indian law.

15.Child safeguarding and privacy

HobbyDoor's Privacy Policy, Parent/Guardian Privacy & Consent Agreement and Child Safety & Safeguarding Policy form part of its operational compliance framework.

HobbyDoor does not ordinarily record classes. Instructors are not permitted to photograph, audio-record or video-record a child or the home for personal or unauthorised purposes.

Instructors shall communicate with Parents/Guardians through authorised channels and shall not establish unauthorised private communications with a child.

Personal data, including child personal data, shall be processed according to HobbyDoor's applicable privacy framework and Indian data-protection law.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory child-protection or statutory reporting obligations.

16.Complaints and service remedies

If dissatisfied with a class, the Parent/Guardian should ordinarily notify HobbyDoor within 48 hours so the matter can be investigated promptly.

Depending on circumstances, HobbyDoor may offer a replacement Instructor, replacement class, rescheduling, credit or refund.

This operational reporting period is intended to facilitate prompt investigation and does not extinguish, reduce or waive any statutory consumer right, legal remedy or applicable limitation period.

Ratings/reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. HobbyDoor may remove unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or privacy-infringing content subject to applicable law.

17.Liability

HobbyDoor shall remain responsible for its own contractual commitments and services actually undertaken by it.

Instructors are independent professionals. HobbyDoor does not assume responsibility for matters solely and independently caused by an Instructor outside HobbyDoor's contractual obligations or reasonable control, subject to applicable law.

Certain hobbies may involve ordinary inherent risks associated with physical activity, tools, heat, cooking, dance, martial arts, pottery or other materials. Parents should consider the Learner's suitability and disclose relevant safety restrictions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

No limitation of liability shall apply to any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and no clause shall exclude non-waivable consumer rights.

18.Suspension and termination

A Parent/Guardian may stop using HobbyDoor at any time, subject to the applicable cancellation/refund provisions.

HobbyDoor may suspend or close an account for fraud, payment abuse, serious misconduct, safety concerns, repeated breach, unauthorised direct arrangements with Instructors or other material breach.

Where practicable, HobbyDoor may provide notice and an opportunity to clarify or remedy the issue, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Termination does not extinguish accrued payment, refund, privacy, confidentiality or legal obligations.

19.Intellectual property

HobbyDoor's name, logo, website, software, content, branding and proprietary materials are owned by or licensed to HobbyDoor and may not be copied or commercially exploited without permission. Parents/Guardians may use the Platform and its content only for lawful personal use in connection with HobbyDoor services.

20.Grievance redressal

Grievance Officer/Contact: Pratyush Kumar Srivastava, Director, HobbyDoor Private Limited. Email: founders@hobbydoor.com | Phone: +91 92201 33387 | Address: Superco, 6th Floor, Galaxy Sapphire Plaza, C-03, Sector 4, Greater Noida (West), Uttar Pradesh, India.

HobbyDoor aims to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and provide an appropriate response within a reasonable period, subject to the nature of the complaint and any statutory timeline.

Nothing prevents a consumer from exercising a remedy available under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable law, including approaching the appropriate Consumer Commission or competent authority.

21.Changes to terms

HobbyDoor may amend these Terms prospectively to reflect changes in services, pricing, technology, safety practices or law.

The latest version and effective date shall be made available through the Platform.

Material changes shall not retrospectively alter existing paid bookings unless required by law or expressly accepted by the customer.

Where law requires notice or fresh consent, HobbyDoor shall provide the required notice or obtain consent.

22.Electronic acceptance

Acceptance by checkbox, click-through, OTP verification, electronic confirmation, payment or another legally recognised electronic method may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.

HobbyDoor may maintain reasonable records of the version accepted, date/time, booking reference and other audit information.

Corporate Capacity and Directors' Liability. These Terms are entered into by and between the Customer and HobbyDoor Private Limited. All obligations and liabilities arising under these Terms shall, to the extent permissible under applicable law, be obligations and liabilities of the Company and not of any individual director, officer, employee or shareholder merely by reason of holding such office. Nothing herein shall exclude or limit liability arising from any personal fraud, wilful misconduct, statutory violation or other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.

23.Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

The parties shall endeavour to resolve service/contractual disputes through HobbyDoor's grievance mechanism first.

Subject to jurisdiction conferred by applicable consumer-protection and other mandatory law, courts having competent territorial jurisdiction in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh may exercise jurisdiction over contractual disputes.

No jurisdiction clause excludes a consumer forum, tribunal, authority or statutory remedy where the law grants such jurisdiction.

24.Severability and entire agreement

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions shall continue.

These Terms, booking details and applicable Privacy/Safeguarding Policies constitute the contractual framework for the relevant booking.

Mandatory law prevails over inconsistent contractual wording.
